The Mead Quilters Group was founded in 1997 by Barbie Edwards and friends:

“to promote appreciation and understanding of patchwork, quilting and appliqué, both traditional and modern, and other allied crafts”

thereby providing a focus for patchworkers and quilters in the area.

We are affiliated to the National Quilters’ Guild and are part of the Guild’s Region 7 comprising Beds, Bucks, Herts & Northants.

We meet on every third Tuesday evening of each month at 7.30 pm., and hold a ‘Stitching Session’ on the first Tuesday morning from 9.45 to 12.30 or sometimes till 3.00 pm.

Meetings are held in the WI's Mead Hall, East Lane  in Wheathampstead

and hence the Group’s name.

Our  activities are organised by The Committee

of which the 2017-18 Executive Members are:

Acting Chair:   Valerie Pollington

Treasurer:     Emily Marshall Secretary:

Programme:               Carol Wort
